The Mission Statement is to:

Promote the on-going development and recognition of nursing foot care services by nurses within the province of Manitoba".

Goals:

• To enhance the role of nursing foot care in Manitoba;

• To promote the Interest Group as a forum for the interaction of nursing foot care providers;

• To provide a forum for developing and promoting appropriate nursing foot care practices;

• To develop educational opportunities to maintain and enhance the skills of foot care nurses;

• To provide a forum for the exchange of information of topical interest to nursing foot care providers;

• To establish an avenue for addressing issues related to nursing foot care services;

• To facilitate collaboration and resource sharing between nursing foot care providers;

• To develop and maintain liaison relationships with other professionals involved in foot care services to improve and promote the profession of nursing foot care;

• To promote the development of nursing foot care services which will provide a rewarding career opportunity for nurses;

• To promote the purposes and effectiveness of nursing foot care within the goals and objectives of the College and public interest.
